A Special Memory

About few weeks ago, there was an  English Drama Contest in our school. Though we didn’t practice a lot, everyone all did great jobs on the stage and got great prize.

Nevertheless, I really learned some lessons from the event.

First of all, in order to do the rehearsal, we had to go to school on weekends. But my dad was unhappy with it. He always thinks that study is the most important thing and other activities are “nothing”. Although he wasn’t happy at all, he still gave me a ride to school in an early morning. After it, I realized that no matter what happens, my parents will still love and support me.

Second, there was a misunderstanding during our practice time. All of us sat down and told each other about our own thoughts. The process was a little bit horrifying because of a big arguement. Later on, everyone calmed down and talked gentlely. Not until the event happened did I understand that misunderstanding must be solved face to face. It’s not ethical to talk about something bad behind people. “Gossip” can hurt people deeply.

Third, I learned many acting skills from the event. We had drama class in the last semester, but we learned more through the contest.

The drama contest is so significant that everyone could learn a lot from it. No matter what happened, all of us got through it together. The process is definitely more important than the result.

I consider that the special experience will shine in our memory for good.
