It is essential to have a superior leader among a group, or even a nation to lead us to the right direction. Nevertheless, not all people have the ability or traits to take on the crucial role. As a matter of fact, I think that there are some appropriate personalities for a good leader to possess.

First of all. Good leaders must be enthusiastic about their works. Never underestimate the power of passion. With the magical thing and a variety of ideas, you will have great bravery or ambition to try new rules and contribute a large number of dedications. Napoleon, an extraordinary leader with great passion and ambition conquered other countries and led France to a flourishing period.

On the other hand, aside from having foresight, it is important for a leader to keep taking action to fulfill the aim. A good leader must points out the right direction, sets up a completed scheme, and is more participative than directive. Instead of only giving a heart-stirring or impressive speech, he or she must takes action. It’s just liked what Joel A Barker said, “Vision without action is merely a dream. Action without vision just passes the time. Vision with action can change the world.” Without a doubt, a good leader can change the world with his or hers vision and action.

Third, a great leader should have his or her definite view rather than follow the crowd blindly. Otherwise the efficiency of making a policy will decrease. For instance, when an issue is being discussed, there will definitely be various opinions from different people. Meanwhile, instead of wasting too much time to hesitate about which the best opinion is, a good leader should make good use of his or her original judgment, ponder over those different ideas, and make a combination. All in all, I just bring up these characteristics for being a good leader as follows: having great passion, taking action with vision, and possessing his or her definite view.
